The Person Behind It

ABOUT

Phineas Jack
O'Brien Milne

What started with running sound at small venues — one camera in hand, a modest light rig, and a board to mix — has grown into a full-scale live production operation capable of delivering broadcast-quality 4K multicam streams from festival stages to intimate club rooms across North America.

The foundation is audio. A graduate of Berklee College of Music's prestigious Music Production & Engineering program, Phineas brings a decade of studio and live sound experience to every project. That background shapes everything — how the stream sounds, how the cameras are placed to capture a performance, how the lighting interacts with the image. Understanding music and sound at a deep level means understanding how to capture it.

Studio work has taken him inside some of the world's most celebrated recording facilities, including Abbey Road Studios in London and Real World Studios in Bath — Peter Gabriel's legendary residential complex. That range of experience, from intimate home sessions to world-class professional rooms, informs every project regardless of scale.

On the road, recent live video work includes touring with Tom Hamilton (guitarist, Joe Russo's Almost Dead — one of the most-streamed acts on Nugs.net) for his own band's tour, filming Neighbor — Boston's premier jam band with an extensive catalog on Nugs.net — live video and audio production for Reid Parsons in partnership with JRNY Entertainment, and extensive multicam work with Round Trip, High Fade, and The Band Memo across the US and Canada. Content distributed via Nugs.net.

Live audio recording credits include O Positive and Dana Colley of Morphine — two of Boston's most legendary acts — recorded live at Paradise Rock Club in Boston for an O Positive reunion show featuring Dana Colley's band Three Colors.

In the studio, production and engineering credits include Round Trip, Juicebox, Kirsten Kirk, Nico Welsh, Katie Mavis, Girly & the Pops, Boarzoy, Biz, Riley Senne, Vendetta Rose, Michael Cantor, Haku Kim, Claire Dong, Emily Sclar, Elene Lekveishvili, and Jeremy Burke.

Additional studio experience includes extensive work at Notable Productions in Boston — engineering, assisting, and technical repair on studio gear — as well as assisting on sessions at Cybersound in Boston, and serving as a staff engineer for an orchestral ensemble at Berklee College of Music. Earlier in his career, Phineas worked directly alongside Geoff Daking at Daking Audio, building, testing, and shipping the Daking MKII console from the ground up — an experience that gave him an unusually deep understanding of how professional audio gear works at the circuit level.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts — splitting time between Boston and New York City, and available to work anywhere in New England, the Northeast, and beyond.
